Welcome to the CXO Career Guru blog!
About a year ago I completely re-invented myself and became an 'executive search consultant'. What this means is that I help companies with their leadership (CXO) hiring. And more importantly, it means I interact with some amazingly talented and bright people and try help them with their career decisions.
During the course of the past year I noticed that there were a few good online resources for senior-level/ executive career planning and learning, but most of these were international. And even though some of these sites were excellent, I couldn't help but notice that some of the information and suggestions there were just not relevant in the Indian context. There aren't too many Indian online resources for senior executives.
And that was the motivation for me to start the CXO Career Guru blog. The idea of this blog is to provide a platform for senior executives/ professionals to share information, exchange ideas, get updates on the CXO hiring environment and also, hopefully, come across some interesting career opportunities.
But at the outset itself, I must clarify that this blog is not a 'job site' and is not meant to be a resource for finding jobs! I personally don't believe that leadership roles would typically be flashed on 'job sites' and if there were any, then I would be very circumspect about them! :)
I would like this blog to serve as a neutral, safe and fun platform for senior professionals across industries/ practices to find useful information, news, updates, tips and also exchange ideas and have a conversation.
